The Planning Inspectorate's latest figures for appeals received show there were just over 12,000 appeals lodged in 2019 - a drop from the peak of over 13,000 in 2018, but still higher than the years previous to that. And the percentage successful? 30%, which is a slight but steady decline over the last 10 years, when it used to be 35%. If you are thinking of appealing, then you want to maximise your chance of success.
